How to Measure Your Ring Size
-
Using a Ring You Already Own:
- Select a ring that fits comfortably on the finger you want to wear the new ring.
- Place the ring on a ruler or measuring tape and measure the inner diameter (across the widest part).
- Use the chart below to match the inner diameter with the corresponding ring size.
-
Measuring Your Finger:
- Wrap a piece of string or a strip of paper around the base of your finger.
- Mark where the ends meet, then measure the length with a ruler.
- Use the chart below to match your finger circumference to the correct ring size.
Ring Size Chart
Ring Size (US/Canada) | Circumference (mm) | Diameter (mm) |
---|---|---|
4 | 46.5 | 14.9 |
5 | 49.0 | 15.7 |
6 | 51.5 | 16.5 |
7 | 54.0 | 17.3 |
8 | 56.5 | 18.1 |
9 | 59.0 | 18.9 |
10 | 61.5 | 19.7 |
11 | 64.0 | 20.5 |
12 | 66.5 | 21.3 |
Note: Sizes may vary slightly based on the ring's design and width. If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up for comfort.
Tips for Accurate Measurement:
- Time of Day: Fingers can swell or shrink depending on the time of day and temperature. Measure your finger at the end of the day when it is likely to be at its largest.
- Wide Bands: If you’re buying a ring with a wider band (e.g. engagement rings), consider going half a size up for added comfort.
